The show ended up being at the same time as TwitCastRadio, my own Twitter radio show, so I contacted the producer and told them I’d simulcast my show via phone from their studio.

The show went well but the simulcast failed. So I got the link for their show and posted it for this weeks TwitCastRadio.

On Saturday, they started sharing the link I used to them. Sunday I was out, but saw that there were a lot of mentions of the show link in my stream. I thought “Boy, these guys are popular”

Unfortunatly, it was a plot to use my name and the show to promote themselves. By Monday, I had to contact them and ask them to stop using my name. The links and use of my Twitter handle continued so I contacted the show host, the contact that got me to go and a few of the tweeps who were complaining that I might be a spammer.

Now, you must have a blog full with content you have enthusiastically written. It should be a very entrancing grapevine for the community of your selected niche, vs a dead data sheet.

However! no matter how tasty your content is, if there's no-one to read it you cannot generate gain from it. Traffic is the stuff of your blog. In people, you must offer enticing info. Easy enough.

However, to generate traffic onto your web site, you have to think backwards. Where do folk look when they need information? Yes, they search using search engines like www.google.com, www.yahoo.com and www.msn.com, to cite a couple more popular ones. So, to get these people on your blog, your blog wants to rank high on search result pages of these search engines. When these folk search for information through the search engines and see your site among the top results, they may naturally click through to your blog!

The art of getting your blog or web site onto high rankings on search result pages is thought of as SEO. It is truly sophisticated and hard subject to beat, but that doesn't stop us from learning simple yet effective methodologies to beat the search results for certain keywords. The more complicated systems are usually needed to fight for really competitive and general keywords like "fat loss", but I'll teach you a method to overcome that later.

For now, let's identify the keywords that you wish to optimize your website for. As an example, your blog talks about tech gadgetry. Now, you'd want to check in Google if it is a very competitive keyword. At this time of writing, there are twenty-nine, 000, 000 search results. Think you can beat twenty-nine, 000, 000 sites at your first attempt? I don't believe so.

Now, let's try and cut down our scope. Let's look for "technological gadgets" instead. At this time of writing, Google lists 792, 000 results. That is more controllable, but you would like to search for more targeted keywords. However, let's optimize your blog for "technological gadget" just for the sake of learning.

First, you have to target the title of your blog. Since you are improving for technological gizmos, you need to have that real phrase in your blog title. As an example, a line like "Your Best Technological Gadget Blog!" would work. You can change the title of your blog in the Blogger control panel or the Wordpress blog when you're creating it. If you are expert with HTML, you can even do that on other blog engines like Moveable Type. Bottom line? Learn a little HTML!

Other than that, your page heading should also contain the term you are reinforcing for. The page heading is the bit of text in your code that is enclosed the tags. This is important as it tells the search engines what your page is about (in this case, "technological gadgets"). Since we are posting a blog, the tags are often the post titles, so remember to incorporate the term there whenever topical.

One last bit, you must also spatter the words "technological gadgets" in your posts whenever possible. The frequent occurrence of that phrase in your blog will hint the search engines that your blog is really applicable to that subject.

However, this is the most critical bit of all. Always remember that you are writing for real life folk who read your blog to get information, so it is extremely dumb to spam your blog with keywords! Basically, if you do that, the search engines will finish up thinking you are spamming and drop your ranking further down into oblivion… So keep in mind! Write for humans, not search engines!
